Our managing director, Narendra Shrestha, was born in Nepal in 1974. His grandfather owned a dairy. Even as a child, it was there that Narendra got a glimpse into the production facility and was able to learn a great deal about the traditional churpis and how to make them. So it comes as no surprise that Narendra began making his own Churpis as an adult.

Narendra came to Germany in 1999, initially working in restaurants. Two years later, he started his own business and went on to operate several restaurants.

But he couldn’t forget about churpis. So, in 2019, Narendra started trying to set up production here in northern Germany. Just one year later, the KUKUJE company was founded and now produces and sells its traditional Churpis for dogs from its location in Norderstedt, just outside of Hamburg.
